Ok I was TOTALLY laughing out loud with in saw this. That was totally me yesterday in the mirror trying to get one I have. My sister and I always try to watch each other get them out. Nasty and yet so much fun. I usually do it the way you did but this last time I used two q-tips and basically popped it like a zit!!! Pretty awesome!!!! Whatever you do dont smell it because it is so nasty (yea you probably will next time) Seriously so sick yea i guess i just admitted that but believe me you will only do it once because it's nasty. ok anyways this video is another reason why you guys are so AWESOME!!! Love it!

I get those too!! LOL - I think that some of us have holes or craters on our tonsils and what happens is that food gets lodged in there and hardens up - very gross and smelly too. One ENT told me once to gargle with peroxide b/c the bubbly effect would loosen it and you could get it out that way - but I usually use the q-tip method - I think I need those long ones like when they swab the back of throats in their offices. I'm always afraid I'm going to swallow the q-tip - ha ha!!
