Common question: Is it possible that Mckenna has CF?

Is it possible? Yes. Is it probable? No. The chances that Mckenna has CF are SLIM TO NONE. The first thing Mandi and I did when we decided we wanted to start a family, was getting Mandi tested for the CF gene. Mandi was screened for all known mutations (over 1600) and they concluded that Mandi was NOT a carrier of any known CF mutation. The chance that Mandi is a carrier of a single copy of any CF mutation is less than 1% (.0004% to be exact). Therefore, the chance that Mckenna would have CF is less than .000001%, or less than 1 out of 1,000,000. So, anything is possible, but it is not very likely. In other words, there's a greater chance that she has a host of other things going on than it would be that she has CF :)

Now you need to start updating things to reflect Mckenna's arrival (oh and beautiful name by the way.) Like the sidebar and your family area on Facebook. Congratulations and enjoy these baby times cause it sure goes by fast.
