I started this blog as a resource for the CF community and to also make CF personal (hopefully) to those not personally affected by Cystic Fibrosis. It is also good place to track my progress and hold myself accountable, but that is not the main reason for this blog. So I am asking for your help to make this blog better. And in case you're worried about hurting my feelings or "stepping on toes", please don't be, I'm asking for you to be brutally honest. If you don't want your suggestions or comments seen publicly just email me at coachsharpe@cox.net
Thank you all so much and I look forward to your responses!
Ronnie
5 people had something to say...:
I like it how it is but since you asked =D
When we got to see the video you posted recently we got to see/hear you talk more personal about cf and I really liked it. You do post like that sometimes and they are my fav. I remember this 1 you did really changed my whole way of thinking! It was the 1 where you talked about home care vs hospital care. I had always thought Michael was being a little spoiled about going in just so he didnt have to do anything and he always got upset when I would say that..long story short you wrote about it and hearing it from another CFer I started to understand what Michael couldnt seem to say without getting upset. I would like to see more personal/opinion post. And you already know I love guest post from M!!
Sorry I wrote you a book!! lol
I kind of agree with Kellee. I think maybe post more on your personal life/experience with CF. I think the majority of your blog (my opinoin) is a lot about your workouts, running, etc. While I think that's awesome (and a great way to keep track of it for yourself too)...maybe not so much....or just condence the workout posts to be a little shorter? IDK?
I love your blog....just a thought...not trying to be mean or anything :)
Bacon.
Everything is better with bacon...
Seriously, I'm going to agree with the ladies above. I enjoy the more personal posts about how CF has shaped who you are.
As in your personality, not your CF pot belly... ;)
Sometimes it seems like you assume that adult CF patients don't work, when you're writing advice. A lot of them do, and have to, in order to maintain health coverage. Also, a lot of them do because their work is important to them.
Also, I agree with the people above. I wonder more about your upbringing and personal life.
Anonymous- I'm sorry if my writing came off in that manner. Most adult CFers that I know, do work, and enjoy doing so. Most of my "advice" posts are answers to specific people about specific comments. One thing I can say with certainty though, is no matter who you are and what your job is, we all have time to take care of ourselves. With CF, this becomes even more important and often extends our lives as well as the quality.
Thanks for reading and commenting
Ronnie
