My top 10 in no particular order!
1. My own pillow! I don't know what the hospital provides but it sure is not a real pillow!
2. iPod with speakers. Gotta have music.
3. PSP (Playstation Portable) Helps pass the time.
4. Gummy bears and potato chips. And I order pickles with every meal, even breakfast! haha
5. Books. I love reading.
6. Cellphone.
7. Gatorade and water for sure.
8. Walking shoes.
9. Chocolate instant breakfast so I can have my chocolate milk.
10. And I know I am 24 but I gotta have my blankie to snuggle with. :)
If I am in the joint when my hubby is deployed then I also take pictures of my hubby.
The coffee maker is definitely a great idea!
My hospital is more like a five star hotel in the way that it looks and the food is delicious! But I hate that they don't have internet access or DVD players.

2. My own pillow for sure!! A must!
3. A hand made quilt from either my mom or auntie. (I have several small ones)
4. Some sort of candy or sweets--usually gummy bears.
5. My Own pajamas and slippers
6. Cell phone
7. Laptop
8. Something to read/write with/watercolors/colored pencils
9. My Own towel and washcloths
10. Cereal
BONUS that makes it all the better!!! I hope you take this to heart and adapt one.
11. (I bring a little lamp--about 7 inches tall or so) that has a small, nightlight bulb in it for the evenings when I'm doing meds but don't want the tv on for light or the overhead... and then I can turn it off by my bedside. It's just very low light, for ambience, and reminds me of home. Means a lot and I do get many comments on it... how it makes it so HOMEY in there.
