Today My Heart Breaks (and Burns)

There are many things to be thankful for on this Thankful Thursday, but here are some that come to mind:

I had a great dinner tonight. Not only was the food delicious, but it was cheap and I was able to enjoy it with Mandi and her parents. There is a sports bar near their house called Zipps. I haven't been to a Zipps very often, but after tonight, I may have to stop in more frequently. Every night starting at 8pm they offer specials. Tonight's specials that I took advantage of were 4 tacos for 4 dollars and mozzarella cheese sticks for 5 dollars. Mandi and I actually split the two. The cheese sticks were interesting in that they were wrapped in an egg roll type of a deal. To be honest, not the best ever, but I'm glad that I tried them. The tacos were pretty good though...now if only I could shake this heartburn!

I mentioned this on Facebook the other day, but let me say it again. I'm so thankful for the performance of my compressor lately. I mean, it's always done well, but it's been kicking butt the last couple of days. Weird thing is, I haven't done anything special to it for it to be performing better. One reason may be the fact that the tubes are staying on better than normal and I've been able to crank it to 30 psi. But again, why are the tubes staying on so well??

Lastly, what I'm not thankful for...Mandi and I are having problems. I don't know if it's the stress of the upcoming wedding or if it's that her (overbearing) parents are in town, but we seem to be fighting a lot lately. I don't want to set off any unneeded alarms, but I thought I would just mention it. It's not a "maybe we won't make it to the wedding?" kind of a thing as much as it is a "maybe we rushed into it?" kind of a thing. I don't know, maybe I'm just venting a little. Things just seem off you know? I mean, how do you really know if somebody is right for you?? Obviously it's not your guy's problem, but I certainly wanted to shed some light on it before she started spreading false rumors about me or something.

Oh, and by the way, it is April Fool's Day right??? :)

*And just so we're clear, Mandi is the love of my life and we are head over heels for each other and just counting down the days until she's walking towards me dressed in white :)

You almost had me there! I'm sitting here drinking my morning coffee thinking "oh no, so much for my trip to Phoenix." And then the last line hit.............forgot all about the date! Dad
I fell for it hook-line-and-sinker!
I knew it was April Fool's Day AND knew nothing has been wrong lately, yet I still felt incredibly sad and sick to my stomach!! Well played, Ronnie, but this means WAR :)
You totally got me too!
That was a good one! And a RELIEF because all I could think of was "you're having doubts and thinking out loud on a blog??? I had so much respect for you!!!" Now I have MORE respect-great April Fool's joke!

yeah not falling for it ;)
you jerk :) just kidding. i was totally ready to give you a pep talk, tell you to spend sometime alone together, mention that the future inlaws might read your blog :) duh and yea tell you guys to make sure it is right before you commit to the rest of your lives and i was going to start praying for your relationship as well as telling you not to throw mandi under the bus for everyone to read. BUT NOW I DONT HAVE TO SAY ANY of that but sigh in relief because you guys are so cute and i didnt want to hear or see that happen to you both. :) so with all of that to say YOU GOT ME. hahaha. hope you guys have a great day!!!
Oddly (even though I know how damn cute you two are together)....I totally got that feeling when you go down a roller coaster....which I am NOT a fan of. Totally NOT COOL!!! :) I was about to call you both and rip you around! Ha.
SO.NOT.FUNNY!
RONNIE! I got my compressor! SO EXCITED!!! But you will never believe what happened!!! They forgot to put an on/off switch on it. I called the company and they are sending me another one. He checked the ones in the warehouse and apparently they made all of them that way. A big glitch I guess. But they are letting me keep the one I got until I get the new one, and I am using a surge protector to turn it on and off. I have two questions. My tube will NOT stay on. Do you have any tips?? And how high can I turn my psi?? I know at the hospital they run me at about 10 psi for albuterol and 5 psi for pulmozyme. I have been running at about 12 psi on this machine. What do you recommend?

That's CRAZY!! Make sure to take the tube off of both ends (compressor and nebulizer) each time you're done with the treatment. Also, you can throw the tubing into the freezer overnight so it will shrink down close to it's original state. I run my Albuterol at close to 30 psi and my Pulmozyme at about 23 psi. You have the Mobilaire right?
Thanks for the tips! Yes I do have the Mobilaire. I also have noticed that since I got it last Friday I have not had to do my albuterol treatments every 4 hours like I was. I feel like I am getting more of the treatment into my lungs and my treatments are lasting me longer. =)
