Good luck with your PICC! My daughter three-year-old Julia will be heading in tomorrow for her very first clean-out. Her very first PICC! Feel better soon!

I hope the PICC placement goes well. I get mine placed on Thursday. Quick question...you've probably answered this one before... Why have you held off on the port? I'm just curious. Do you feel that there is a benefit to PICC's for as long as possible?

It's a mental thing. I like the idea of being able to leave the hospital and pull the PICC out. With a port, it's with you 24/7 whether your sick or not. It's going to happen at some point however as I am running out of veins :)

you and mandi just amaze me; your strength, your love for each other. y'all are definately an inspiration. good luck with your picc today. i keep putting off the port thing too. i've had the same picc in for 10 months now.

Well, good luck with your PICC line! I've tried it once, but it really hurted, so I'm glad I got a PAC after all. I had the exact same reasons you have, but once there's no vein left...

Do you already start to feel better? I mean, if you've had already to IV's, it's nice to notice some results...
