First Day Out of the Hospital...

...the LAST time I got out of the hospital. I found this video buried in my YouTube account and thought I would throw it up. I often hear other CFers say that, "I'm not going to let CF control me", when I ask them why they won't do their treatments. Funny thing is, that's the BEST way to get controlled by CF, stop or don't do your treatments. Want to really have control over your life? Invest 10% of it really taking care of your lungs and the other 90% will be all yours.


So what do you guys think? Does that make any sense?

Biggest fear with my son! That someday, he'll defy me by not taking his meds or doing his treatments.
I'll just hope for the best! :)

Lack of motivation is the biggest problem I see especially in older CF-ers. There has to be a way to combat this.

It makes total sense, Ronster! I know that, for me, when i was younger i was totally stupid. i knew about my disease, all too well, but chose to live in a state of denial. i thought maybe if the CF phone rang and i just didin't answer it, that maybe it would all go away. it was a bad way to handle things, but you live and learn. Now, I take the best care of myself that I possibly can. I do my treatments, take my meds, take my vitamins, and get as much rest as I can with two little ones. I fight every single day to stay healthy and strong.....for me, for my boys, for my husband, for the rest of my family, and for all other CF warriors.

This post could have not come at a better time! I am a 25yfwcf and to this day I still fight with myself to get my treatments done. I have a mild case of CF and when I was younger I was able to miss a treatment here and there and be fine...my pfts would even go up! Now is not the case! They aren't bad but I wonder wow where could I be with my Cf if I had only done 100%. It isn't worth beating yourself up but it is worth being aware that you doing your treatments and being active is controlling CF. Ronnie I could not have said it better myself and thank you for remindin me that I am not the only Cfer that has these exact same feelings! Thank you!!!
